Vintage Swansea Wales Souvenir Teacup Saucer Welsh Lady Coat of Arms Gold Trim

Vintage souvenir teacup and saucer from Swansea, Wales.

The saucer center features a color transfer of a traditional Welsh tea party scene — a woman in Welsh costume and tall hat, a spinning wheel, and daffodils — captioned SOUVENIR OF WALES. The rim carries the Welsh royal arms (four lions, red and gold) with daffodils, and the word “Swansea” in blackletter. The cup repeats the same coat-of-arms crest on its body. Both pieces have gold trim; the cup also has a gold band at the foot. Scalloped rim on both, pedestal foot on the cup.

Underside of the saucer is stamped WOOLLEN CRAFTS OF WALES / SWANSEA. No maker’s mark on either piece, so I can’t attribute a pottery or a date.

• Cup: 3.25” diameter × 3” tall

• Saucer: 5.5” diameter

Condition

Good pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks found. Gold trim is intact and continuous on both pieces. The cup interior has slight utensil markings — light gray scuffs from stirring, typical of use, not removable. Photographed in the listing images.
